As a Senior Creative at MYOB, I helped the talent team attract the next wave of product developers by creating an Employee Value Proposition that spoke to something we all feel, the desire for our work to genuinely make a difference.
The challenge
Australia’s tech industry is booming. REA, Seek, Xero and Atlassian are all competing for the same great people, and so were we. With MYOB moving its HQ into Melbourne’s tech hub in Cremorne, we needed to give future employees a compelling reason to put MYOB at the top of their list.
Strategy
MYOB had been officially recognised as one of Australia’s most innovative companies - but its legacy in desktop software meant many people still saw it as a brand from the past. Our EVP reframed MYOB around meaningful impact, helping the SMEs that power the economy and we used immersive tech like AR and Oculus Rift to let candidates experience that impact for themselves.
